Vector Structures

The connection between algebraic structures and geometric reasoning: vector spaces, bases and change of basis, inner and cross products, linear dependence — with attention to computational tools and to the historical development of the concepts.

PM002A

Single-Variable Functions

A rigorous treatment of real-valued functions of one variable. Limits, continuity, series, derivatives and integrals approached through their logical foundations, with emphasis on constructing proofs rather than applying formulas.

2nd semester, 2025

PM015A

Methods in Operations Research

Linear, nonlinear, integer and mixed programming; formulation and solution of transportation and production models; geometric analysis of feasible regions as preparation for the Simplex method; computational modelling in GAMS.

2nd semester, 2026

PM003A

Geometric Analysis of Multivariable Functions

Formal analysis of real-valued functions of several variables: continuity, differentiability, the Inverse and Implicit Function Theorems, and the gradient and Hessian treated theoretically. Groundwork for further study in analysis and differential geometry.
